Description

Students will be learning how to analyse a range of texts (fiction and nonfiction). When studying fiction text, they will consider how writers use narrative and descriptive techniques. Students will learn to apply these techniques to their creative writing.

Students will also study the different perspectives and themes in a range of fiction and nonfiction texts. They will learn how texts seek to influence the reader and structure an analytical response to a piece of writing. Students will learn how to persuade or argue a point of view. This will allow students to develop a range of communication skills essential for the modern world. Content covered will be tailored to suit students’ needs.
